Production Futures began back in 2016 as an initiative to signpost production newcomers to work and training opportunities. The Breakthrough Talent Awards was launched at the same time, to recognise and celebrate newcomers within the entertainment production industry. From entrepreneurs and apprentices and employees, to students, graduates and freelancers, we shine the light on those who are broadening their skill set and already making a significant impact on the industry whilst breaking down barriers to lead the way for others.

The BTA's are a huge celebration of new fresh talent. The ceremony is a huge networking opportunity which mixes the nominees and other newcomers with experienced production professionals to create a magical atmosphere. Prizes for each category are ‘money can’t buy’ opportunities donated by our sponsors varying from training bursaries or mentorship to work experience.
