What is the Production Futures Breakthrough Talent Awards?
Production Futures began back in 2016 as an initiative to signpost production newcomers to work and training opportunities.
The Breakthrough Talent Awards was launched at the same time, to recognise and celebrate newcomers within the entertainment production industry. From entrepreneurs and apprentices and employees, to students, graduates and freelancers, we shine the light on those who are broadening their skill set and already making a significant impact on the industry whilst breaking down barriers to lead the way for others.
- 70 Previous winners in the Breakthrough Talent Newcomers List
- 21 Awards categories
The BTA's is a huge celebration of new fresh talent.
The ceremony is a huge networking opportunity which mixes the nominees and other newcomers with experienced production professionals to create a magical atmosphere.
Prizes for each category are ‘money can’t buy’ opportunities donated by our sponsors varying from training bursaries or mentorship to work experience.
Our sponsors are leading global businesses involved with creating the biggest and best productions and live experiences in the world.
This year’s nominations are now open so enter yourself or someone else on their behalf, there is nothing to lose!

You have been working in the industry for 0-5 Years
Entrepreneurs, apprentices, college students, university students, graduates, freelancers and employees of less than 3 years.
Absolutely yes, or someone else can nominate you.
Submit a project or a piece of work that you are proud of, a business you started, a project you designed, an assignment you already submitted, an achievement you are proud of, a technical innovative idea you might have.
This is time to celebrate your greatest achievement to date. This is ALL about you, not your qualification.
I feel really proud and privileged to have won these awards. Studying at Confetti allowed me to access the resources I needed to develop and gave me the space and support to explore my interests in video. I was able to gain experience of designing and creating video content as well as in the technical and engineering elements on a range of different types of events. Since finishing my degree I’ve been supported and encouraged by a lot of wonderful people in the video design community and I am really grateful for the opportunities I’ve had.
